Kacey Montoya declares that the federal government will abandon a program developed for illegal immigrants.The purpose of this program was that the immigrants turn themselves in for deportation,but in a three-week trial only ten of the illegal immigrants voluntereed.Kacey Montoya says that the authorities implemented this program in five cities,offering the immigrant the chance to plan their departure instead of being arrested,detained and deported.
Kacey Montoya declares that the immigrants activists criticed this Immigration and Customs Enforcement program,as well as ICE's raids on homes and businesses.As a result of the failure,Kacey Montoya transmitts that ICE will end the "Scheduled Departure" program after it's trial will end Thursday.
